2022 BULL SALE
Friday 15th July 1pm

Below is 2021 Sale bulls

Q45 - (HBR) A Kruse son to start the sale and one of my picks. A good mix of pedigree with Kruse and the Bando cow line. Long, deep sided bull with a soft loose skin type. He was used as a yearling in the stud to back up the AI programme on stud heifers. Just below average birth, all growths and carcase in the top 20%, high milk and scrotal. Highly recommended, will suit heifers or cows.

Q58 - (HBR) Next two bulls are going to be big, framed Kruse sons with plenty of depth and volume, they will breed big roomy soft females that milk, and steers with plenty of scope to grow.

Q91 - (APR) Kelly’s favourite from birth, out of a lovely, young soft coated high volume Consensus cow. This fellow has always been an eye catcher in the paddock with his long, deep soft body, short hair type. A very athletic free moving bull, high for growth, milk carcase and scrotal, will breed tremendous replacement females with a bit more frame.

Q57- (HBR) One of the first 38 Special sons to sell in Australia. Docile cattle with plenty of frame, strong over the top and good muscle pattern. This fellow offers good early growth, with carcase, milk and above average marble.

Q51 - (APR) Just like his brother before him, a very similar type of bull and would make a good pair with Q57. Has the early growth, carcase, and milk. Again, if you need to increase your cow frame and growth for feeder steers any of the 38 Special bulls will do it.

Q49 - (APR) Is out of a really nice young Matauri Reality cow which puts the advantage of calving ease and low birth into this fellow but still maintains the growth, carcase and milk of the 38 Special bulls. Will suit bigger heifers or cows.

Q7 - (APR) Another calving ease, low birth bull with the 38 Special extra growth, carcase and milk. We only had the four Special bulls this year but will have more next year. Will suit bigger heifers or cows.

Q61 - (HBR) First of the Nobleman sons thick, deep, soft fleshing, calving ease in the top 14% for low birth with well above average growth and carcase, will breed weaners that weigh, suit heifers or cows.

Q80 - (APR) A bull with plenty of body and typically carrying the calving ease and low birth with good growth that most Nobleman sons have, suit heifers or cows.

Q32 - (HBR) I really like this bull, well balanced long body, heavy muscle, good calving ease, low birth with plenty of growth, carcase and marble, will suit heifers or cows. Watch for the raw data sale sheet for the birth weight to sale weight spread, some of these Mediators were the lightest born and are some of the heaviest in the sale.

Q31 - (APR) All very similar types are the Mediator sons. Note the extra ‘sleep easy’ top 12% for calving ease with top 7% for low birth but still with enough growth to use with cows.

Q48 - (APR) Slightly heavier muscle this fellow and long, could have written one comment for all the Mediator sons, calving ease and below average birth, suit heifers and cows.

Q38 - (APR) note all Mediators are out of two-year-old heifers, this one has the backing of a Reality dam, taking the calving ease to top 5% and low birth at top 6%, but growth still well above average, ‘sleep easy’ heifer joining and still suits cows.

Q29 - (APR) the Lakeside sons have all been catalogued together as they are very consistent in type and all out of very similar females. Q29 carries a lovely muscle shape with a soft skin type he moves well in the paddock with impeccable structure. You will find it hard to fault any of our bulls on feet, leg and gait.

Q27 - (HBR) Love this bull, so soft and long carries the typical high body mass the Lakeside sons have. Below average birth in a moderate package, out of an older cow H32 who’s sons have always shown a little extra volume and had a son sell to Goondi Angus a few years back, suit heifers and cows.

Q13 - (HBR) Check out the body mass of this fellow and again out of one of the older high preforming cows in our herd. Calving ease, low birth in a moderate package with good milk and marble. Suit heifers and cows.

Q24 - (HBR) Again, could have written the one blurb for every Lakeside son. Follow how close they are on paper and also in the flesh, calving ease, low birth moderate with good milk, suit heifers and cows.

Q4 - (APR) Consistent Lakeside son, calving ease, low birth, moderate with good milk, suit heifers and cows.

Q9 - (APR) Consistent Lakeside son, calving ease, low birth, moderate with good milk, suit heifers and cows.

Q50 - (APR) last of our Lakeside sons and you really do have to admire how consistent they are, long, moderate with a nice muscle pattern and soft fleshing, Q50 just a little heavier right through.

Q102 - (HBR) A Hallmark L58 son, long deep and powerful, good calving ease below average birth, high milk with carcase bull. Will breed big roomy cows and steers that grow, suit heifers and cows.

Q120 - (HBR) Typical Hallmark again, long deep and powerful, good calving ease and below average birth good milk and carcase, very well-balanced bulls that walk out nice. Suit heifers and cows.

Q67 - (HBR) Long and deep again, out of a great old cow in G2 who has bred a couple of top price bulls. Calving ease, below average birth, again with good growth milk and carcase, suit heifers and cows.

Q59 - (HBR) a Hallmark son, not quite as big as his brothers but with extra calving ease at top 10% and low birth top 14% still with the high milk and the Hallmark length of body and depth, suit heifers and cows.

Q39 - (HBR) Mediator son with typical muscle shape they all carry, out of a really nice Hallmark L58 heifer and again another ‘sleep easy’ heifer bull with calving ease in top 10% and low birth top 5% still plenty of growth and milk carcase and marble, suit heifers and cows.

Q41 - (HBR) Last of the Mediators and again with good calving ease, low birth with grow, milk and above average marble. Suit heifers and cow.

Q111- (HBR) Big roomy bull, plenty of early growth and carcase, out of a cow that always puts the extra weight into her progeny.

Q84 - (APR) Kruse son with the low birth, and moderate growth, high milk, suit heifers and cows.

Q124 - (APR) A Nobleman son, a heifers first calf, ‘sleep easy’ calving ease, low birth again with a bit more growth, suit heifers and cows.

Q116 - (APR) Typical Nobleman son on type, out of a thicker set cow, suit cows.

Q79 - (APR) Great calving ease low birth bull with plenty of growth, suit heifers and cows.

Q127 - (APR) Younger bull with great calving ease low birth plenty of growth and carcase, suit heifers and cows.

Q73 - (HBR) Nice to have a favourite in this part of the catalogue. He is here because he fits a run of bulls with the moderate framed calving ease that we have catalogued last. A Kruse son with the great calving ease and really low birth in the top 6%. I really like this fellow, he stands out in the paddock on type and very balanced right throughout, impeccable structure, suit heifers and cows.

Q85 - (APR) Low birth and typical muscle pattern of the moderate Kruse sons, suit heifers and cows.

Q131 - (HBR) On paper, this bull shows below average for birth but with a bit more growth, this fellow, as the baby in the group has been pushed around so hasn’t quit reached his potential yet. Suit heifers and cows.

Q117 - (APR) A Kruse son to finish the sale with the thickness and muscle pattern of his brothers, moderate frame, and gets the added calving ease with low birth in the top 10% from his moderate framed Reality mother. Suit heifers and cows.
