2022 REFERENCE SIRES

Millah Murrah Kruse Time N177
Kruse%20Time%20N177_edited.jpg

We purchased Kruse N177 in 2018 at 16mths for $50,000. Kruse is a moderate framed bull, long bodied and has a lovely muscle pattern with a soft skin type and impeccable structure. Backed with a pedigree of notable cow makers with Crusader of Stern, BT Right Time and Booroomooka Theo all on direct lines. His daughters retained are now rising two and are everything we had hoped they would be, oozing a true Angus type of ‘efficiency’ being moderate, long, soft fleshing with a wonderful temperament. Kruse N177 sons started the sale last year and were much sort after by commercial producers seeking the maternal power they offer. Once again, this year, there will be some bigger framed sons and also a line of more moderate types to suit heifer joining’s. A common comment from last years paddock inspections was ‘You can pick them from a distance on TYPE alone!’. This year we will be offering 14 sons.

Rennylea Kodak K522
Rennylea-Kodak-K522.jpg

New Sire: First offering of Kodak sons and all from 2yr old heifers. Kodak is a bull that the figures stack up as you move across the page but also carries the extra body, length and depth with sound feet and legs and good temperament that clients expect from the Inglebrae bulls. The Kodak sons are a very even line and will be close to the front of the sale with a couple of really good standouts! They all have good calving ease, low birth with plenty of growth and a bit of extra marble. Inspection is a must from this sire group. 6 sons on offer.

Inglebrae Farms Nobleman N6
Nobleman.jpg

Nobleman N6 is a homebred bull that we used as a yearling and has been continued to be used through our AI programme after selling him to Booragul Angus and Knowla Livestock at our 2019 sale. Nobleman is one of those rare animals that has had that ‘eye catching’ sire stance, right from birth with an EBV package that ticks the boxes across the page. Currently Nobleman is in the Cohort 10 Angus benchmarking programme, and his performance and ranking for calving ease, birth and 200-day data has been exceptional. First sons sold to top of $18,000 last year. Expect confirmation and structure second to none with great calving ease, growth, carcass and fats. We will have 4 sons on offer.

Baldridge 38 Special
38 Special.jpg

This is the second offering of 38 Special sons. Last year they were snapped up by producers that were seeking their sheer volume they will add, strong top, depth of rib, great muscle expression, perfect structure with very correct feet and legs. We originally selected Special to gain a snippet of his dam, the prolific, Baldridge Isabel Y69 cow that has produced so many AI sires, but in that, also gained the length and heavy muscle pattern of his sire, EF Commando. If you are selecting for early growth for weaners and or getting steers to heavy feeder weights sooner, with the backing of a proven female line, then the 38 Special sons are a must. We will have 7 on offer.

Millah Murrah Hallmark L58 (AI)
Hallmark.jpg

Another year of L58 sons and WOW!. We purchased Hallmark L58 back in 2018 (pic is at 5 ½ weighing in at 1364kg) we just love L58’s pedigree of his powerhouse sire, Ascot Hallmark and his dam, who is by the New Zealand legend Hingaia 469. L58 continues to breed exceptionally well, breeding the Old Cool back into the herds, with tremendous length, depth of body, soft fleshing and have fabulous doing ability. His daughters are front paddock types with great frame, high milk, low birth for big cattle and all carry the quiet nature Hallmark himself has. His sons have sold to $27,500 and have been very sort after by commercial producers, seeking the maternal power he injects into a herd. Expect his progeny to carry the tremendous structure and gait throughout their feet and legs that Hallmark carries himself. We are now using Hallmark sons throughout our own 650 head commercial herd! That’s how much we think of him. This year we have 9 sons.

Inglebrae Farms Paramount P18

New Sire: Paramount is a homebred sire that we used to back up our AI programme on cows as a yearling. We then sold him to the Doughty family at Tabulam as a two-year-old, in our 2020 sale. Selected for the programme to inject his shear volume and mass for clients that are seeking that little bit more growth in their weaners and feeder steers. Paramount’s dam, L18, has become one of our dominant cows in our herd for the volume she breeds into her progeny. Her first son, Nobleman N6, also a reference sire, and next year we will present a flush of sons from her which are currently leading their cohort weaner group for weight gain! Paramount sons, Extra growth and Carcass! We will have 4.
